Basin Material Handling (Mt. Sterling, KY location) Manufacturing Associate Starting pay $15/hour Please monitor your email for communications regarding your application Job Summary Responsible for various tasks throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient and safe production of wood components and finished goods. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety standards within a woodworking environment. Essential Functions Operate and maintain various woodworking machinery and tools, including saws, sanders, routers, and CNC equipment, ensuring proper setup and safe operation. Select, measure, and cut wood materials to precise dimensions, minimizing waste and ensuring accuracy. Assemble wood components using hand tools, power tools, and adhesives, adhering to design specifications and quality standards. Perform quality checks on finished products and components, identifying and reporting defects or inconsistencies. Load and unload materials, components, and finished products, often requiring lifting and moving heavy items. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and housekeeping standards. Assist with inventory management, including counting, stocking, and organizing raw materials and finished goods. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and troubleshoot issues. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions or repair needs. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Proficiency in operating various hand and power tools common in woodworking. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Basic math skills and the ability to accurately measure materials. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety guidelines. Forklift certification is a plus but not required (training may be provided). Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment may involve exposure to wood dust, noise, and machinery. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach overhead.
