  • Provide hands-on lineside engineering support for a production line, driving improvements across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Lead process and equipment optimization initiatives to increase capacity, reduce waste, improve quality, and lower costs using data-driven methods.
  • Design, modify, and implement machine, tooling, and fixture improvements, including installation, debugging, and commissioning.
  • Troubleshoot and support cam-driven equipment integrated with pneumatic, servo, and PLC-controlled systems and sensors.
  • Spend 70–80% of time on the manufacturing floor, supporting troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support capital projects by providing design input, installation assistance, and technical leadership.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Operations, EHS, R&D, and equipment vendors to execute improvements and resolve issues.
  • Manage small to mid-scale projects, including CAR preparation, vendor selection, contractor oversight, and cost control.
  • Maintain and update engineering documentation (SOPs, PMs, ECNs, BOMs, validations).
  • Train and support production and maintenance teams on new equipment, processes, and safe work practices.

Experience you will need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing/process engineering with strong on-the-floor involvement.
  • Hands-on expertise in mechanical design, equipment modification, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with cam-driven machinery integrating pneumatic, servo, and PLC-based systems.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (preferred); ability to create and modify technical drawings for tooling and fixtures.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance principles and collaboration with maintenance teams.
  • Experience managing multiple improvement and capital projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Clear communicator able to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working in a high-speed, production-focused environment.
Our client asked me to submit 3 great people within the next few days. We work directly with the hiring manager and can arrange interviews within a few days
