We’re a mid-sized facility, located in beautiful northern Michigan. And we're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join our exceptional team of industry-changing engineers, fabricators, mold-makers, and technicians. At Aster Brands, we take great pride and careful planning to ensure our internships are not just a job, rather an experience! This engineering internship for current students is available in the summer of 2026. You will be working on our engineering team that develops new products for all the licensing brands. Key functions include product design, form and equipment design, material science research, incorporation of new technologies into existing and new products, prototyping, and testing. A hands-on, team approach is required. All team members are expected to be a bit flexible with some duties requiring physical labor, especially when testing production and the handling of new products. The Specifics Product design and optimization, taking new products from ideas to working prototypes Works closely with operations team members on manufacturing floor Designing forms, molds, and material handling equipment, for automated production lines and manual production work cells Design of workholding and assembly fixtures and jigs, custom inserts, and equipment to support the mold and fabrication shop Documentation and marketing and sales content creation The Proficiencies 3D modeling experience required, Inventor and Solidworks preferred 2D AutoCAD experience preferred Experience in hydraulics, electrical, mold-making, and plastics is a plus ABET accredited Bachelor of Engineer in-process 3.2 GPA total min.
