PAY RATE: $26-29/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Support Manufacturing Engineers (MEs) by gathering, maintaining, and formatting technical data, including engineering designs and changes.

  • Produce engineering documentation: reports, marking files, flow charts, block diagrams, schematics, and machine operation procedures.

  • Serve as liaison between MEs and production, providing technical guidance and resolving assembly issues.

  • Review and respond to EODIs and floor support requests; assist assembly teams in identifying and correcting issues.

  • Update assembly work instructions based on drawings/models; review changes with MEs before release.

  • Assist MEs with Qnotes and EODIs, entering data for planning, routing, work instructions, status reporting, and issue resolution.

  • Participate in PMT activities; support lean initiatives and process improvements.

  • Maintain and control shop aids; program and support assembly-related machines.

  • Assist Wire Cut area with machine setup, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and process improvements.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with technical training.

  • Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and design specifications.

  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher.

  • Strong communication skills; ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

  • Ability to guide production operators and resolve technical issues.

  • Familiarity with cable/harness production and interpreting electrical/mechanical schematics.

  • Knowledge of mechanical, power, pneumatic tools, and cable wire cutter/stripper machines.

  • 3 5 years of manufacturing experience.

  • Experience creating ME instructions and visuals.

  • Familiarity with SAP (Qnotes, Routings, BOMs) or similar systems.

  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and process improvement implementation.

  • Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
