Job Description

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and supporting manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and support new product introductions in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes and workflows
  • Identify and implement Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support production by troubleshooting process issues and driving root cause corrective actions
  • Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with quality, production, supply chain, and engineering teams
  • Evaluate and recommend tooling, fixtures, and equipment improvements
  • Assist with new product introduction (NPI) and process validation activities
  • Analyze production data to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in capacity planning and layout optimization projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (preferred)
  • Experience in manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or assembly environments
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis, quality systems, and process validation
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with CAD/CAM or process simulation tools
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Hands-on shop floor experience
  • Understanding of automation and production equipment
