New Way Trucks is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for developing, improving, and optimizing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality. This role works closely with production, quality, and supply chain teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in a manufacturing environment. Your Role in our Mission: Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, and equipment. Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives. Support new product launches, including process development and validation. Develop and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process documentation. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (production, quality, maintenance, engineering). Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions. Evaluate and recommend new equipment, tools, and technologies. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Assist with cost reduction efforts and capacity planning. Conduct time studies and line balancing to optimize productivity. To Perform this Job Successfully: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or related field). 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment. Knowledge and/or experience in welding, industrial metal fabrication with lasers and press brakes are a plus. Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools. Proficiency in CAD software, Sigmanest CNC is a plus. Knowledge and experience of Epicor ERP system. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
