The ideal candidate thrives on the manufacturing floor and has deep experience designing, programming, and improving automated systems.What You’ll Be DoingAutomation & Equipment DesignDesign and implement semi-automated and fully automated manufacturing equipmentProgram and troubleshoot PLC-controlled systemsWork with sensors, solenoids, motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and vision systemsConduct machine qualification and validation testingManufacturing & Process EngineeringLead and support R&D line trialsDesign tooling, fixtures, and work cellsOptimize production line layout and efficiencySupport capital equipment evaluation and justificationContinuous Improvement & QualityPerform root cause analysis of process and quality issuesImplement Lean manufacturing initiativesApply DFMA, SPC, FMEA, and DOE methodologiesReduce material discrepancies, returns, and customer complaintsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Sales, and Production teamsSupport safety initiatives and environmental compliance effortsWhat We’re Looking ForRequired:BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering7+ years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience (required)Strong PLC programming and automation experienceExperience designing mechanical and electrical manufacturing equipmentSolidWorks proficiency (3D modeling & drafting)Experience with Lean manufacturing practicesAbility to read engineering drawings and technical documentationStrong problem-solving ability and attention to detailPreferred:Experience in plastics, rubber, extrusion, or co-extrusion manufacturingBilingual Spanish/EnglishKnowledge of KPI/KPP/KPC metricsExperience with ASTM testing standardsMicrosoft Project experienceIdeal CandidateSelf-starter with a “take ownership” mentalityComfortable working directly on the production floorStrong communicator across technical and non-technical teamsHighly organized and capable of managing multiple projectsAble to work autonomously in a fast-paced environmentThis is an excellent opportunity for a senior Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys automation design, process improvement, and driving measurable impact in production operations.If you're interested in learning more, apply today.
