Basic QualificationsEducation/Training: Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.Skill(s): Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated knowledge of welding, fabrication, machining, and assembly processes; proficient in methodologies including 5S, standard work, takt time, and PFMEA; adept in completing time studies, process flow creation, and documentation writing, proven ability to troubleshoot production issues; and strong CAD familiarity.Working Conditions: Visual and auditory skills; ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, twist and lift items weighing 40lbs. or less; exposure to extreme temperature changes when working in shop; operate heavy machinery, power tools, or equipment; work at elevated heights or in confined spaces; and extended time working on computer and use of fine motor skills involving repetitive motions.Experience: 2-5 years in manufacturing engineering or industrial engineering. Experience with process improvement, time studies, lean/Six Sigma, routings, BOMs. General ResponsibilitiesThe Manufacturing Engineer supports fabrication, assembly, and upfit operations by developing, improving, and optimizing manufacturing processes for Curry Supply products. The primary responsibility of this role is to improve production efficiency, support engineering/production collaboration, develop standard work, and reduce waste. This position falls under the company's safety-sensitive category. Successful candidates must comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy and are subject to pre-employment, random, post-incident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing.Essential DutiesConducts time studies and workflow analysis.Supports routings, BOM updates, and manufacturing documentation.Assists in tooling, fixtures, jig, and process layout design.Supports ECR/ECO updates.Works with shop employees on process issues.
