The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will be exposed to a broad range of assembly processes. The intern will be mentored by an experienced Manufacturing Engineer. Responsibilities Create process diagrams and standard work for assembly operations Design jigs/fixtures as needed for assembly of parts Specify equipment for assembly of complex finished goods Audit BOM and routings for accuracy in ERP software Qualifications Pursuing BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering Passionate about manufacturing processes Ability to complete individual assignments as well as work in a team environment Ability to communicate clearly and effectively Must have transportation to and from the internship Goals and Learning Experiences Throughout this internship, the candidate will be immersed in a manufacturing organization, experiencing every operation. The intern experience will include but is not limited to: Injection Molding Blow Molding Assembly Robotic value add activities Solid modeling 3D printing Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and listen. The employee will frequently be required to stand and walk; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment This position works in an office setting, a development lab/shop area and on the production floor and works around dust, oil, electrical/ pneumatic/hydraulic devices, and mechanically moving parts.
