Key ResponsibilitiesProject & Process LeadershipLead cross-functional improvement projects focused on material flow, inventory control, and overall operational efficiencyCollaborate with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and leadership teams to develop and implement practical, high-impact solutionsProvide technical leadership during manufacturing space expansion and product line relocation initiativesManufacturing Engineering & Cost ControlDesign and coordinate tooling and fixtures used in manufacturing operationsLead cost-reduction initiatives including consumable CNC tooling, raw material usage, labor efficiency, and variable overhead reductionSupport continuous evaluation and optimization of manufacturing processes in a CNC metals environmentData-Driven Continuous ImprovementAnalyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunitiesImplement data-driven solutions that improve productivity, reduce waste, and lower operating costsDrive measurable performance improvements through structured problem-solving and performance metricsLean & Operational ExcellenceLead and sustain continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies, including but not limited to:Value Stream MappingKaizen eventsCycle Time vs. TAKT Time analysis5S and Visual ManagementCell and line designMaterial flow optimizationTPM (Total Productive Maintenance)Root Cause and corrective action methodologiesNew Product IntegrationSupport new product introductions with a focus on manufacturability, process control, equipment capability, and scalabilityPartner with engineering and operations teams to ensure smooth transition from development into productionAssess equipment, tooling, and staffing requirements to support new and existing product linesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience (5+ years) in manufacturing environments such as:Manufacturing or Industrial EngineeringOperations or Supply ChainQuality or Process ImprovementHands-on experience in CNC metals manufacturing is requiredDemonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and influence leaders and teams in the deployment of continuous improvement strategiesStrong leadership, organizational, project management, and interpersonal skillsCAD experience required; SolidWorks experience preferred
