PAY RATE: $26-52/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Summary:

  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining, and material handling.

  • Arrange machines for maximum efficiency and productivity.

  • Develop sequences of operations and fabrication procedures for tools and equipment.

  • Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.

  • Incorporate inspection and test requirements into production plans.

  • Inspect machinery, equipment, and tools; identify issues and implement corrective actions to ensure product quality.

  • Develop processes for statistical process control (SPC).

  • Provide guidance to engineering on design concepts to optimize manufacturing techniques.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement robotic solutions (Fanuc, Epson).

  • Program and integrate industrial robots; maintain automated production lines to maximize uptime and throughput.

  • Equipment uptime and availability.

  • Improved throughput and productivity while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Successful implementation of process improvements using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Fast-paced, collaborative, and results-driven.

  • Focus on continuous improvement and high-performance culture.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in high-volume, low-mix environments.

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing principles, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma.

  • Experience with machine design, equipment installation, and material handling.

  • Robotics and automation experience; PLC programming expertise.

  • Knowledge of statistical process control and process optimization.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Certifications in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or SPC preferred.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
