Pay rate range- $50/hr - $52/hr.Remote with reporting onsite(North Reading, MA) with possible light travelJob Description:Must Have:Commodity expertise or familiarityPLM ExperienceProject ManagementAdvanced Manufacturing EngineerJob Summary:Design and implement world-class manufacturing solutions that transition cutting-edge robotics products from concept to production at scale, driving quality excellence across global supply chains.Key Job Responsibilities:• Apply Design for X (DFX) principles to transition autonomous robotic solutions and mechatronic systems from design to production • Develop and qualify suppliers while managing product lifecycle changes across complex global supply chains • Lead cross-functional quality improvement projects and drive technical root cause analysis for supplier defects • Design and develop manufacturing test solutions for consumer electronics and robotics systems • Implement best-in-class manufacturing systems for scalability, focusing on gearbox assembly, stator winding, rotor manufacturing, and motor integration • Collaborate with design teams globally to influence product designs and ensure manufacturability at scaleQualifications:* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, computer science, or a related engineering field.* 5+ years of experience performing Manufacturing Engineering principles such as, DFX, and FMEA in new product introduction.* Proficient in hardware failure root cause analysis and leading corrective and preventive actions.* Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical quality issues.* Strong process improvement mindset for agile environments with a passion for manufacturing.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.* Ability to work in highly ambiguous environments and make informed decisions in real-timeBasic Qualifications:For this position we expect:• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field • Experience applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), or Design for X principles • Experience with manufacturing processes including injection molding, machining, sheet metal fabrication, or electronics assembly • Experience working with contract manufacturers and managing supplier relationships • Knowledge of quality systems and methodologies including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement principles • Experience with CAD software and technical drawing interpretation • Understanding of statistical process control and capability analysis
