Manufacturing EngineerThe ideal candidate will support high-voltage, high-vacuum electrical testing and advanced detector manufacturing. This opportunity is ideal for engineers with experience in semiconductor manufacturing, vacuum systems, electron-optical components, or precision instrumentation who thrive in hardware-focused environments. LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY PLEASE. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical testing and troubleshooting of precision detector assemblies in an ISO 7 cleanroomOperate and maintain high-vacuum systems (10⁻⁷ to 10⁻⁶ Torr) and high-voltage power suppliesConduct detailed mechanical and electrical teardowns for root cause and failure analysisDiagnose issues including low gain, shorts, vacuum leaks, contamination, and alignment defectsSupport daily production, improve manufacturing yields, and reduce scrapTrack and analyze yields using SPC methods and tools such as MINITABMaintain test fixtures, oscilloscopes, electrometers, and vacuum controllersContribute to Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and ISO 9001 quality initiativesQualificationsU.S. Citizenship required (ITAR compliance)5+ years of experienceBachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials Engineering, Physics, or related fieldExperience with semiconductor vacuum systems with high voltage and low currentMust have test background, failure analysis, and be able to troubleshootStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skillsProficiency with MS Office, MRP systems, and technical reporting
