Key Accountabilities Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors. Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established. Programs, sets up, and proves out CNC machines for production operation. Troubleshoots and repair minor problems with Industrial equipment. Performs maintenance on Industrial equipment at instructed intervals. Performs time studies and assessments. Participates in project teams as needed and supports both day-to-day operations and longer-term improvements. Generates/performs preventative maintenance procedures and determines root cause on quality failures. Works with operators, supervisors, and engineers on workmanship, manufacturability, and process/design issues. Participates in Lean Manufacturing activities and quality improvement. Provides training to technicians or operators on new processes. Designs/documents and build quick fixtures for the manufacturing floor. Leads safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and GEO-specific Health and Safety expectations. Qualifications, Experience, Skills / Knowledge Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or a combination of education and experience. 2 - 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Some experience as a team lead in machine shop operations. Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed project expectations. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment as well as controls in the industrial environment. Understanding of several CNC programming languages (Mill and lathe) with desire to learn more.
