Locations 10 Old Highway 8 SW, New Brighton, MN, 55112, US 17465 198th Avenue NW, Big Lake, MN, 55309, US (On-site) Job Schedule Full time Export-Controlled Data This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items Responsibilities Position Summary: This position is responsible for supporting the Manufacturing Engineering function by providing assistance to Engineers and Operations in the execution of tasks associated with the manufacture of complex parts and assemblies, coordinating activities in support of department objectives and assisting in the creation of required documentation. Key Responsibilities: Support the Manufacturing Engineering function by providing assistance to Engineers and Operations in the execution of tasks associated with the manufacture of complex parts and assemblies, including continuous improvement, cost reduction, quality, standardization, statistical analysis and safety improvement. Coordinate activities in support of department objectives. Work with Operations, Program Management, Quality and other functions within the organization to reach desired outcomes. Assist in the creation of required documentation. Collect data and create necessary reports. Self-Development; learn company systems, products, and processes. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Currently enrolled in an accredited Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering degree program. Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items. Preferred Qualifications: Work experience outside of an academic setting. Experience using CAD/CAM systems utilizing solid modeling. Experience working in a machine shop. Junior or Senior status in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering degree. Physical Demands / Working Conditions: Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer. Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally. Lift, move or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally. Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards. Travel by air or car occasionally. About Us Howmet Aerospace Inc.
