Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing engineering team within a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment supporting precision-machined and assembled components used in critical applications.

This role is responsible for manufacturing process development, CNC and CMM programming oversight, tooling and fixture design, process validation, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position partners closely with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure productivity, cost, quality, and delivery objectives are achieved.

U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR compliance required)


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers supporting machine shop and assembly/test operations
  • Oversee CNC process development, tooling and fixture design, and program validation for production release
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on lead time reduction, cost optimization, and process control
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from design transfer through production validation
  • Ensure compliance with regulated manufacturing standards and internal quality systems
  • Partner with Value Stream leadership to improve throughput, reduce variation, and enhance operational performance
  • Manage capital equipment planning and execution initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline (required)
  • 8+ years of manufacturing engineering leadership experience
  • Proven experience managing teams in a production environment (15+ direct reports preferred)
  • Strong background in precision machining operations (multi-axis CNC environments)
  • Experience with process validation, CMM programming oversight, and structured quality systems
  • Lean manufacturing expertise with demonstrated continuous improvement success
  • Experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing (aerospace preferred)
