Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Technician III - Factory EngineeringLocation: On-site in Fargo, North DakotaJob Type: W2 Contract - ongoingSchedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday, 6:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.Expected Hours: 40 hours per weekPay: $41.95 / hourSafety Requirements: Metatarsal shoes required on Day 1Job DescriptionThe Technician will provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing and production teams, ensuring assembly equipment, automation systems, and processes operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role partners closely with Manufacturing and Factory Automation Engineers to troubleshoot issues, support new builds, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across final assembly operations.Key Responsibilities Technical Support & TroubleshootingProvide real-time technical support to production teams by diagnosing and resolving issues related to assembly tools, automation equipment, processes, and products. Take initiative to resolve problems quickly with minimal supervision and identify root causes to prevent recurrence. Automation & Equipment SupportSupport the installation, setup, wiring, programming, documentation, training, and maintenance of assembly and automation equipment, including build fixtures, torque tools, conveyor systems, PLCs, and robotics (Fanuc/UR). Create and update MWIs and JDAAT programs, including labeling and final packaging. Continuous Improvement & Manufacturing SupportAct as the Engineering representative on Final Assembly Continuous Improvement teams, supporting Lean Manufacturing initiatives that drive Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity. Assist with line layout improvements, time studies, labor standards, fixture design, and prototype builds while supporting ISO 9001 compliance efforts.EducationRequired QualificationsAssociate’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, or a two?year technical diplomaEquivalent military certification or equivalent experience will be consideredExperience:Minimum of 3 years of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering7+ years of related experience preferredRequired Skills & AbilitiesStrong troubleshooting skills with hands-on experience identifying root causeExperience with hand soldering, PLC programming, and robotics (Fanuc preferred)Ability to read and interpret advanced engineering documents, schematics, and diagramsBasic understanding of PLC controls (Studio 5000, ladder logic) and ability to learn quicklyExperience working with ERP and manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP, Agile, EMES)Ability to assemble/disassemble products and prototypes and perform intermediate mechanical workAbility to train and direct technicians and operatorsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, and PowerPointAbility to research, document, tabulate, and summarize technical dataFamiliarity with PFMEA review and participation preferred#INDOEM
