Job Description

Job Description
Lead the maintenance engine that powers world-class manufacturing

At ARBCO, an operating unit of Colson Group—the world’s largest manufacturer of caster and wheel products—you will help sustain the equipment and facilities that keep production moving. With brands that have driven caster innovation for more than 350 combined years, our global footprint and proprietary capabilities set the standard for mobility solutions.

Where you'll work
  • Location: Export, PA
  • Reports to: Production Manager or designee
What the role looks like day to day

You’ll balance strategic planning with hands-on problem solving. In the office, you’ll build maintenance schedules, manage budgets, and review reports. On the floor, you’ll lead technicians, troubleshoot equipment, and make real-time decisions to keep operations safe and efficient. This role involves both office work and hands-on maintenance tasks in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Supervise and develop a team of maintenance professionals, assigning work and upholding safety and quality standards.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for plant facilities and production equipment.
  • Provide technical direction on industrial systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and company safety policies.
  • Create and manage maintenance budgets; track costs and drive cost-effective decisions.
  • Oversee spare parts and tool inventories so technicians have what they need when they need it.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues quickly; coordinate external contractors when required.
  • Report on maintenance performance, work orders, ongoing projects, and emerging risks.
Skills and qualifications
  • Deep technical knowledge across manufacturing equipment and industrial systems: hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
  • Proven leadership with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold teams accountable.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to prioritize and schedule work effectively.
  • Clear and confident communicator who collaborates across departments and with vendors.
  • Sharp troubleshooting instincts and practical, timely decision-making.
Experience
  • 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance supervisor experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with electronic maintenance programs (e.g., CMMS) is desired.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Join us to keep a high-performance operation running at its best—where your leadership has a direct impact on safety, uptime, and product quality.
