  • 5–7 years of manufacturing leadership experience with direct shop-floor responsibility, including supervision of production teams, performance management, and daily operating cadence.
  • Lean Green Belt or Black Belt (certified; applied in real operations)
  • Operational experience in an ISO9001 environment (ownership and execution, not just exposure)

Strongly preferred qualifications

  • AS9100 and/or IATF 16949 environment experience

  • Ownership of maintenance strategy execution (PM/PdM) and downtime reduction

Key Accountabilities

Safety ownership

  • Own shop safety systems, compliance, and continuous improvement

  • Reduce unplanned downtime using data and constraint-driven prioritization
  • Align maintenance priorities to production constraints and delivery commitments

Manufacturing execution and flow (fabrication + assembly)

Lean and continuous improvement (CI) leadership

  • Lead Kaizen events and ensure gains hold through standard work, training, and audits
  • Embed problem-solving (A3, 5-Why, fishbone, countermeasures) into daily leadership habits

ERP and digital shop-floor enablement

  • Drive shop-floor ERP usage, accuracy, and discipline
  • Own router/bill of labor realism and alignment to actual methods and times
  • Ensure production reporting is simple, visible, and actionable (no spreadsheet heroics)

Quality systems and corrective action closure

  • Use NCR/CAR processes as improvement engines, not administrative checklists
  • Lead root cause analysis on defects, rework drivers, downtime causes, and warranty events
  • Verify corrective actions are implemented and sustained

People, roles, and capability building

  • Trained on LMA (an Entrepreneurial Operating System term meaning Leadership + Management = Accountability) and using it to lead all direct reports.
  • Coach and develop supervisors and leads to think in systems and manage to numbers
  • Build bench strength and reduce dependency on any one person
  • Define shop-floor expectations, role clarity, and accountability rhythms
  • Identify role gaps and close them via training, cross-training, or role redesign—not tolerance

Training and professional development

  • Build and maintain a manufacturing training roadmap and skill matrix
  • Create role-based training plans and onboarding/cross-training documentation
  • Stay current through professional organizations, trade shows, and continuing Lean/manufacturing education
