The Role

We’re hiring a hands-on Manufacturing Operations Manager to take full ownership of plant performance - production, quality, safety, and cost.


This is a senior, high-impact leadership role accountable for delivering measurable improvements in throughput, efficiency, and overall operational performance. You’ll lead from the floor, solve problems in real time, and build a high-accountability team.


What You’ll Own
  • Full responsibility for production output, quality, safety, and cost performance
  • Production planning & scheduling to meet delivery and customer expectations
  • Shop leadership: lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production teams
  • Process improvement & efficiency gains (lean, waste reduction, automation opportunities)
  • Quality systems & standards to ensure consistent, high-performance output
  • Plant cost control (labor, scrap, materials, overtime)
  • Inventory management and material flow from raw input to finished goods
  • Equipment performance & uptime, coordinating maintenance and vendors as needed
  • Safety leadership, ensuring a clean, organized, OSHA-compliant environment


Qualifications
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive accountability on the shop floor
  • Strong hands-on presence with a problem-solving, ownership mindset
  • Experience with polyurethanes, elastomers, plastics, or chemical processing
  • Understanding of production flow, scheduling, and operational metrics
  • Experience managing cost drivers (COGS, labor, scrap, efficiency)
  • Strong communication skills across shop floor and leadership levels
