The Manufacturing Operations Manager is a self-motivated and detail-oriented professional adept in software systems and operations logistics. This pivotal role focuses on maintaining the seamless flow of customer orders, including timely processing, troubleshooting, and delivery. As the first step in the production process, the Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring all orders are set up for success, and then monitored until shipped. This is a customer centric position involving fulfillment operations, inventory management, and continuous improvement, which works closely with teams inside and outside the Factory to ensure flawless order fulfillment execution. The successful candidate will be comfortable in a manufacturing or fulfillment setting, works with precision and urgency, and is a strong communicator with management experience. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Ensure the seamless flow of orders from receipt to delivery, maintaining a constant and efficient order process and tracking end to end process proactively with a sense of urgency 
  • Monitor and manage order timelines rigorously to guarantee that every order received is processed and shipped out on time, minimizing delays and maximizing efficiency. 
  • Create and implement action plans that enhance operational processes, promote a culture of continuous improvement, and leverage feedback to refine workflows and procedures. 
  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive BOMs for every sold order to ensure precise and efficient production planning, aligning with inventory and production capabilities. 
  • Regularly review job statuses with a focus on the oldest jobs to prevent any lingering tasks, implementing strategies to address and resolve any delays promptly. 
  • Work cross-departmentally, both within the factory and with outside teams, maintaining clear and timely communication, and ensuring that everyone is informed of order statuses and any updates. 
  • Oversee the entire shipping process for all jobs to ensure timely and accurate delivery, coordinating with logistics partners and addressing any issues that may arise during transit. 
  • Manage and develop team members, providing guidance, training, and support to help them conduct their daily tasks efficiently and effectively. 
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, including coaching the team to be focused and goal-oriented  
  • Accountability, urgency, responsibility  
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned, contributing to the overall success and continuous improvement of the manufacturing operations. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • Must have 5+ years of experience working in a fast-paced production logistics/ high-volume pick, pack production or manufacturing environment, with at least one year in a people management position 
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting 
  • Ability to use KPIs and data to manage and improve processes and provide feedback 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and clear communicator 
  • ERP Knowledge 
  • Strong Excel and general computer skills 
  • Fantasy knowledge is a plus 
  • Experience in a LEAN environment; Six Sigma Green belt preferred
