Job Description:

The Plant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day activities in the facility while promoting continuous improvement through strong leadership.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct and run day-to-day operations.
  • Achieve goals set for the production facility.
  • Lead the facility in establishing and meeting continuous improvement objectives
  • Develop processes to increase productivity and enhance performance
  • Delegate production assignments to appropriate teams and personnel
  • Promote all Safety, Food Safety and Quality policies and procedures while supporting their continuous improvement efforts.
  • Foster a well-trained and motivated team by encouraging and supporting the development of all plant employees
  • Evaluate employees and give suggestions for improvement
  • Provide operational and employee leadership to the facility
  • Assist executive management with budgeting, production statistics, cost analysis, justification of capital expenditures and asset management.
  • Responsible for implementing and reporting of plant KPI's
  • Collect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and waste
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree Business or related field preferred
  • 10 plus years' experience of leadership role within planning or supervision in a food manufacturing facility
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and abilities
  • Working knowledge of production equipment
  • Proactive problem-solving skills
  • Quality System background or foundational knowledge.
  • Experience with ERP, WMS and batching software.
