ISSI, a machine shop and engineering firm on the southwest side of Indianapolis, is looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team. Validate and optimize programs using Siemens NX’s full machine simulation.Advanced Inspection Equipment: Access to a Zeiss CMM for complex inspection and verification.Growth & Innovation: Join a team that continues to invest in new equipment, technology, and capabilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Process and ToolingReview prints, CAD models, and proposed processes in the ERP system to properly route jobs.Create process models that define a part's progression through the machining process.Identify tooling requirements based on the machining process and purchase tooling as needed.CAM ProgrammingProgram any required fixturing and parts using Siemens NX CAM.Program multi turret lathes, 3-axis milling and 5-axis milling operations.Verify CNC programs using full machine simulation in NX CAM.Create efficient toolpaths and setups based on part requirements.MachiningSet up equipment, prove new programs, and perform first article inspections (FAIR).Create job notes, setup sheets, and work instructions to hand off jobs to machinists, and machine parts as needed.Perform basic inspections to ensure parts meet customer specifications, utilizing a Zeiss CMM for complex inspections.Process SupportProvide assistance to other machinists for comps, process changes, and general troubleshooting.Work with engineering and the shop foreman as needed to review designs, machining strategies, and production scheduling.Minimum Job Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training, apprenticeship experience, or related manufacturing experience preferred.5+ years of experience with CAM programming in MasterCAM, Siemens NX, or similar.Experience with fixture and tooling design.Experience with turning, milling, or multi-axis machining.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and job requirements.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.ISSI is an equal opportunity employer, along with all affiliated companies.
