Manufacturing Project Engineer Apply
Role Type: 6-month Contract (possible extension based on project needs)
Location: Arlington (100% Onsite Preferred; hybrid flexibility 1 2 days/week)
Shift: Day shift (8 AM 5 PM CST)
Project Overview
- Supporting a design transfer project from another company site.
- Site focuses on extremities division: ankle replacements, shoulder implants, and screw machining.
- Mix of conventional machining and additive manufacturing (3D printing, laser marking, metal finishing).
- Project is already in execution phase parts released, validations ongoing, surgeries performed.
- Objective: ensure smooth transition, validate processes, and finalize inspections/MSAs.
Position Expectations
Focus on operations-side project engineering, not R&D design.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing design transfers and validation activities.
- Supporting equipment bring-in and process validation (MSA, verification).
- Ensuring manufacturability and coordinating with production/quality.
- Minimal CAD work; designs are already released.
Ideal Background
- 3 4 years of experience minimum in medical device or other regulated industries (automotive acceptable).
- Strong understanding of validation, MSAs, and design for manufacturability.
- Experience in process or project engineering, ideally within regulated environments.
- Exposure to NPI, process transfers, or manufacturing engineering preferred.
- Technical aptitude and proactive problem-solving are key.
- Familiarity with MiniTab, Microsoft tools, or statistical methods beneficial.
