The person who steps into this position will play a key role in building out the project management team and is expected to take on formal management responsibilities in the near future.ROLE OVERVIEWThe Manufacturing Project Manager is responsible for managing manufacturing-focused projects from initial concept through execution and completion. This role oversees the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes, tooling, and systems to ensure projects meet technical specifications, quality requirements, budget constraints, and delivery timelines.Working closely with cross-functional teams — including Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Finance, and Sales — this role drives process optimization, supports production efficiency, and ensures projects are delivered safely and effectively.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProject Management & ExecutionManage manufacturing projects end-to-end, including planning, scheduling, execution, and closeoutDevelop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and budgets to ensure on-time, cost-effective deliveryMonitor project progress; address risks, constraints, and scope changes as they ariseEngineering & Technical OversightCreate, review, and maintain technical specifications, drawings, and documentationEnsure specifications comply with applicable standards, regulations, and internal requirementsIdentify and mitigate technical risks within designs, specifications, or manufacturing methodsManufacturing Process OptimizationEvaluate and improve fabrication, machining, and manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and qualitySupport the selection of appropriate manufacturing methods, tooling, and equipmentRecommend and implement best manufacturing practices where appropriateCollaboration & CommunicationPartner with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations to align on project objectivesCommunicate effectively with internal stakeholders and clients on specifications, progress, and technical issuesSupport cross-functional coordination to ensure smooth transitions from design to productionDocumentation & ReportingPrepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including specifications, reports, schedules, and change recordsProvide regular project status updates to management and key stakeholdersCOMPENSATION & BENEFITSWe hire talented, passionate people, giving them the freedom to succeed and share in the rewards of their efforts.Competitive salary depending on experience: $115-125K+Above-benchmark benefits package including very affordable medical, dental, and vision plans (company pays 80% of premium)Health Savings Account (HSA)401(k) with company matching up to 5%Paid holidays, paid sick time, and PTOShort-term and long-term disability coverageCompany-paid life insuranceQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field with advanced certifications such as PMP are preferredMust have at least 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Project Manager, with Oil & Gas / pipeline experience a huge plusStrong understanding of engineering principles, design practices, and relevant industry standardsProficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentsStrong understanding of fabrication and machining processesProven project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource managementAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneouslyMust have strong inventory management and control experienceMust have strong experience with Excel spreadsheetsWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORThe ideal candidate is a hands-on, collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
