Now Hiring for a Quality Engineer - 11 Month Contract Role - Manufacturing Environment

Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm

Duties:

• The quality Engineer is responsible for diagnosing quality problems and recommending solutions and preventative measures. 
• Diagnoses product problems, in the plant.
• Develops testing methodologies and equipment including precision computerized measuring devices and statistical control techniques. 
• Analyses results and recommends solutions to complex product and process quality problems. 
• Works with engineering and manufacturing staffs, equipment manufacturers and vendors to develop solutions and implement preventative measures.
• Certifies manufacturing processes using quality assurance tools.
• Drive adequacy and conformance of processes and procedures through the internal audit process and the corrective action process.
• Provides training and guidance to improve the inspection and statistical process control skills of the quality control inspectors and production personnel. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience.
• Manufacturing experience
• MS Office Suite - Excel
• Experience in low-cost, high-volume, low-defect manufacturing
• Working knowledge of injection molded plastic components
• Working knowledge of SPC, FMEA, DOE, and other quality improvement tools
• Basic knowledge of Industrial Engineering (line balanced, ergonomics, safety)
• Ability to perform financial analysis and cost justifications
