Manufacturing Sales Engineer Spectroscopy Analytical Instruments Apply
Key to finding a winner:
The ideal candidate is either joining us from a medical device manufacturer (Medtronic, Becton Dickinson, Abbott, Baxter, Stryker, etc.) or an EMS/CMO company (Flextronics, Jabil, Sanmina SCI, Celestica, or a smaller peer). This person will have an Engineering or Science/Physics background.
Qualifications:
- BSc or MSc in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- 5+ years hands-on experience in production/manufacturing engineering.
- Knows about norms and directives in the medical devices space (TQM system and ISO13485, FDA registration, clean room protocols, etc.).
- Intangibles are key: Business acumen, talent and drive to build up a whole new business division. Coming up with a smart, non-standard business acquisition approach. Ability to work independently.Strong Business Development and presentation skills.
- Needs to fit into our team and live the company values (Accountability, Trust, Integrity, Passion, Perseverance, Customer Focus & Service, Innovation).
- Well-connected in the industry. They must already have connections.
- Prefer ability to travel to NY occasionally, job can be anywhere (remote), no sponsorship.

Our contract manufacturing division is a natural extension of our current photonics expertise and focuses on photonics devices for the life sciences, medical devices, and lab analyzer instrumentation space. By leveraging our production capabilities in photonics and spectroscopy related devices, we are the ideal contract manufacturing partner for adjacent medical devices.
WIFM:
- Base Salary of roughly $120k (DOE). Commission to be discussed during interviews.

Process (in reverse order):
- Online Video Conference with CEO to check background engineering and business acumen.
- Personality test per email (e.g. DISC or situational judgement tests) conducted by our HR department.
- Invitation to the tec5USA premises in Plainview, NY:
a. Interview with Head of Production and CEO
- Online PowerPoint presentation in front of COO and several other tec5USA staff members to ensure presentation skills.
- Interview with HR department.
- All candidates must agree to employer background checks. Signing the employee handbook and an NDA will be due on the first work day.
