Job Title: Manufacturing Supervisor

Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
Shift: 2nd Shift (Training on 1st Shift for approximately 2 months)
Location: Chicopee, ma

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee 2nd shift operations at our lumber manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for supervising production employees, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met, and supporting daily manufacturing goals. The selected candidate must be able to train on 1st shift for approximately two months before transitioning to 2nd shift and must be bilingual (English/Spanish).

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities during the assigned shift
• Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are met
• Lead, train, coach, and motivate production team members
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations
• Monitor workflow, troubleshoot production issues, and reduce downtime
• Communicate effectively with management, maintenance, and other departments
• Maintain accurate production reports, attendance records, and shift documentation
• Assist with onboarding and ongoing employee training
• Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment

Training Requirement

• Must be available to train on 1st shift for approximately two months
• After successful completion of training, the role will transition to 2nd shift

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or lumber/wood products environment preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and production metrics
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment
• Basic computer skills (production reporting, email, etc.)

Physical & Work Environment

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as required in a manufacturing setting
• Comfortable working in a lumber mill or industrial environment
