Manufacturing SupervisorDirect supervision of manufacturing employees to achieve overall company goals.Primary duties include:Supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in shearing, punching, forging, tempering, heating, peening, assembling, and painting of leaf springs for the automotive industry.Scheduling employees for daily production as determined by production schedulers.Training new workers in job duties.Training all workers in safe operation of equipment.Inspecting work in progress and finished product.Keeping a record of employee attendance, disciplinary issues, and general employee information.Assisting workers with minor maintenance repairs.Attending company and departmental meetings as scheduled.Reviewing production schedules and estimating work requirements for job completion.Interpreting company policies to workers and enforcing safety/OSHA regulations.Completing supervisory reports for work-related accidents.Analyzing and resolving work/employee problems.Recommending or initiating personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.Maintaining time and production records.Completing daily paperwork as assigned.Preparing annual employee performance reviews.Responsible for general plant housekeeping.Performing security function as needed.Qualifications include:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to draw and interpret graphs.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Education/Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); OROne to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $62,100.00 to $90,400.00. This role is also eligible for a bonus. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity.
