Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and committed Manufacturing Supervisor to lead our production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership abilities and a dedication to quality, safety, and operational efficiency. The Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring production goals are met while maintaining high standards and compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff to maintain efficient workflow and meet production schedules.
- Process Oversight: Monitor production processes and equipment performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Training and Development: Train, mentor, and assess team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Safety Compliance: Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to optimize production efficiency and address operational challenges.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production metrics, including output, quality issues, and employee performance.
- Communication: Conduct regular team meetings to share goals, updates, and resolve any team concerns.
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment is required.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and develop a diverse team, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills for engaging with team members across various levels.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with manufacturing software systems is preferred.
- Preferred Background: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

Schedule
- 8-hour shift, day shift
- Overtime as required
- Ability to commute or relocate to Owatonna, MN 55060 before starting work
Additional Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in manufacturing (preferred)
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver's License and forklift certification (preferred)
- Security Clearance: Confidential (preferred)
- Shift Availability: Day Shift required
- Travel: Up to 25% travel (preferred)
