Job Description

We are helping our client find a Manufacturing Technician - EOL to support vehicle-level testing and validation of autonomous vehicles as they progress through final manufacturing and deployment readiness.

In this role, you’ll execute comprehensive End-of-Line testing, troubleshoot complex vehicle issues, and collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure vehicles meet quality, safety, and performance standards before release.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically curious, and comfortable working hands-on with autonomous vehicle systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

As a Manufacturing Technician - EOL, you'll:

  • Perform comprehensive end-of-line (EOL) vehicle-level functional testing, including spending ~50% of time driving vehicles under autonomous control to support validation.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software, and firmware issues; generate mission logs and Zero Problem Tickets (ZPTs), escalate blockers, and follow through on resolution.
  • Execute vehicle bring-up procedures, including required software/firmware updates, and support early testing on new vehicle platforms (e.g., L3, VH6) where processes may be undefined.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to validate fixes, develop manufacturing AST work instructions, and improve testing processes.
  • Communicate clearly in Slack and cross-functional forums, providing timely updates, summaries, and feedback on testing status and issues.
  • Support vehicle movement, transportation logistics, and general shop operations while maintaining a clean, organized workspace in compliance with EHS standards.
  • Identify and propose improvements to quality, efficiency, and safety; demonstrate flexibility through cross-training and support of evolving processes.

Ideal candidate profile

Preferred:

  • Technical certification
  • Experience in an R&D or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with autonomous systems or advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS)
  • Exposure to GitHub, TestRail, and other software tracking tools

Required skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's with 2 to 4 years of experience in the autonomous vehicle industry.
  • Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical documents, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Skilled in using diagnostic tools and test equipment.
  • Technical aptitude in firmware, software, and hardware. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
