Myra Vision, a Shifamed Portfolio Company, is developing a treatment that safely and effectively reduces high intraocular pressure (IOP) for moderate to severe glaucoma patients. More than one third of glaucoma patients have moderate to severe disease, which requires significant reductions in IOP to reduce the risk of vision loss. Founded in 2009 by serial entrepreneur Amr Salahieh, Shifamed LLC is a privately held medical device innovation hub focused on the development of novel medical products to address clinical needs in the rapidly evolving fields of cardiology and ophthalmology.
Description
Duties include a variety of mechanical, electronic, and/or electro-mechanical manufacturing operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Also supports creation of process and quality system documentation.
Responsibilities, Skills & Hands-On Experience
  • As a member of the manufacturing team, participates in assigned production activities.
  • Works with PD and Mfg. engineering in problem solving and process development.
  • Performs experiments and collects data under direction of engineering.
  • Creates process and quality system documentation.
  • Trains assemblers on procedures and equipment operations.
  • Tracks and monitors build plan and core metrics including output and yield tracking.
  • Follows all applicable manufacturing documentation in the assembly and testing of product.
  • Prior to executing work steps, ensures that all appropriate training has been received and documented.
  • Ensures that all tasks are executed in accordance with Company Quality System requirements.
  • Perform job functions in a safe and effective manner.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
Education & Work Experience
  • HS diploma (AA degree preferred) or equivalent experience in technical discipline and a minimum of 3 years (2 with AA) in medical device or similar product design and/or manufacturing.
  • Experience with electronic databases and manufacturing systems.
  • Solid understanding of GMP, Clean room procedures and behavior.
  • Ability to use tools and measurement devices.
  • Must be able to document activities clearly.
  • Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal) required.
  • Ability to work independently or in team setting required.
Our salary ranges are calculated by role and level. Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications. In addition to those factors, we also examine internal equity as well as consider current market rate, and title may be assessed one level lower or higher accordingly. After you join the company your performance, contributions, and results along with business and organizational needs will affect your base salary. The base salary range for this full-time position is between $68,000 to $75,000 + equity + benefits.
