Luxium Solutions in Milford, NH is looking for a Growth Technician I. The Growth Tech I performs a wide variety of crystal growth machine set ups and operations required in the growth of rod, ribbon, tubes, sheet, and specialty type items made from industrial sapphire. Will be capable of growing multiple machines of similar products and perform other activities following established methods and procedures, such as inspection and data collection.

Essential Functions

• Ensure that material products are attached to material puller, temperatures are closely monitored and product lengths are closely observed.
• Run samples; inspect and check against specifications; make necessary temperature and speed adjustments based on visual and mechanical observations.
• Operate multiple machines; making periodic inspections and maintaining continuous monitoring and observation of “growing material” by using microscope, camera monitors and shielded viewers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic measuring equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to understand manufacturing processes, read blue prints, specifications, Safety Data Sheets, tables, drawings and Work Instructions.
• Ability to life up to 40 pounds on occasion.
• Flexibility for overtime preferred.
