Manufacturing Technician – Covington, GA As part of our manufacturing group, you will support production packaging and processing operations, sanitation, and participate in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment. Shift hours 12‑hour shifts with a 3‑2‑2 schedule Day shift: 6:00 am–6:07 pm Night shift: 6:00 pm–6:07 am Shift rotation every 8 weeks (day to night or night to days) Scheduled work pattern: short week (Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday) – 36.36 hours; long week (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday) – 48.48 hours Availability for overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays Plant operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week Pay $23.75 per hour – Starting pay $26.93 per hour – after 6‑month probation $37.91 per hour – Max pay Benefits Up to 120 hours (pro‑rated to start date) in the first year, and 88 holiday hours Great paid time off benefits 401(k) match Health insurance – medical, dental, and life And much more! What your day will look like Creating high‑quality foods that are eaten everyday nationwide Using technology in an industry‑leading facility Working with experienced operators to pass knowledge to eager workers Challenging yourself to get the job done right and gaining skills for future opportunities Troubleshooting and performing maintenance on machinery, partnering with maintenance for larger repairs Calibrating processing and packaging systems daily to meet required specifications Participating in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment Removing and replacing motors, starters, belts, bearings, chains, and other manufacturing parts Operating forklift equipment safely to move materials and products throughout the plant Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to increase platform performance Assisting in training new employees What you have to offer Minimum of a high‑school education or GED At least 2 years of manufacturing/production experience, or other mechanical technical experience such as HVAC or mechanical All employees must complete a forklift certification course and are required to drive a forklift Physical requirements Lift up to 50 lbs Perform physical tasks for extended periods (standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting) Climb/work at heights using stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms Wear protective clothing and equipment: safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, hair/beard net, gloves Adhere to grooming requirements in a food manufacturing environment Work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet conditions Work around industrial high‑speed moving machinery Work with allergens present in a food environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
