Experience requirements: ideal candidates will meet or exceed the following criteria:
Experienced diesel mechanic, and
Caterpillar, Cummins, and/or MTU product experience
Experience with multiple marine engine manufacturers is a plus

Other minimum requirements:
Valid driver license and safe driving record for driving company service vehicle
The ability to work independently, and work with/take direction from others.
The ability to maintain a professional attitude and appearance
The ability to work with multiple employees and projects
The ability to use relevant computer programs/software
The ability to conform to Fairhaven Shipyard Companies, Inc. policies
Provide and maintain tools appropriate for the position
Meet U.S. Government employment eligibility verification requirements
The ability to physically perform the duties of a Marine Diesel Mechanic
Preferred skills and/or experience with
Cummins, CAT, Detroit Diesel/MTU, and/or Northern Lights
Marine hydraulic systems
Marine power generation and electrical systems
