Location: Miami/Fort Lauderdale FL Gallo is on the lookout for a Market Development Manager - Retail who thrives in maximizing sales and distribution of Gallo brands across Retail accounts. This role is pivotal in executing sales/marketing strategies and the annual sales plan, understanding distributor deal structures, and competitive pricing to foster growth within the retail sector. As a Market Development Manager, you will spend approximately 80% of your time working directly with distributor personnel (Reps, DMs, AMs) in accounts to execute monthly programs, close gaps, and deliver points of distribution. Your strategic planning will be key in maximizing sales and growing Gallo brands, making choice-ful decisions that capitalize on opportunities based on business performance, market conditions, and account needs. Your responsibilities will include: Directly monitoring and ensuring the achievement of performance goals and objectives. Training and coaching distributor sales representatives and district managers. Gathering marketing intelligence to identify and share opportunities for furthering Gallo sales. Motivating distributor management and salespeople to maximize the sale and distribution of Gallo brands. Coordinating with the local Shopper Marketing team and reinforcing communication on Gallo standards. We are looking for someone who: Demonstrates an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset, ready to adopt change and act in future-focused ways. Engages accounts and distributor personnel to maximize all e-Retail opportunities in the marketplace. Supports the commercialization of digital marketing programs and leverages technology to monitor performance and identify opportunities. Acts as a Gallo Ambassador, advocating for our brands, hosting events, and leveraging social media to promote Gallo sales within the community. If you have a knack for making sound business decisions, optimizing resource allocation based on business trends, and developing positive working relationships across all levels of accounts, distributor management, and distributor personnel, Gallo welcomes you. Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of CPG sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire. Required to obtain liquor license as required by state/locality. Required to travel by air and car in order to execute job functions. Required to see, taste, and smell wine and perform wine tastings as part of job functions.
