Job Description:
Duties:
  • This role will help fuel long-term growth of the client via the success of our acquired companies. We do this by defining and working cross-functionally to implement M&A Sales and Post-Sales Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies in the first 0-2 years post-acquisition.
Immediate responsibilities:
  • The role will define and drive alignment on M&A GTM plans, and implement these plans through the integration process, developing an in-depth understanding of the acquired company's post-close GTM strategy, objectives, and goals, and ensure that our processes tie back to support the goals of the business, starting from Announce through to 6-18 months after acquisition, depending on size.
  • The role will identify and report on key indicators of acquired companies' sales performance and market opportunity, along with their post-sales capability. The role will use those findings to set the strategic agenda and drive projects for the Sales and Post-Sales integration, and present recommendations to Sales & Post-Sales Leadership.
  • Projects will include business planning, market segmentation, pipeline analysis, coverage optimization, and ongoing performance measurement, applying sound business rationale, distilling key priorities and influencing cross-functionally to move the business forward.
  • The role will build strong relationships and influence across a broad set of leadership and stakeholders across the company (Sales, Customer Experience, Partners, Marketing, Engineering, Product, Corporate Development, Finance, Information Technology, Compensation/Incentive Design etc) to drive collaboration between the client and acquired teams, remove obstacles to achieving operating plan goals and balancing the requirements of advocating for acquired companies with those of the client for the right combined GTM outcomes.
Key deliverables:
  • Create and drive the M&A GTM plan by building trusted relationships cross-functionally with Sales and Post-Sales operations subject matter experts at the client and acquired companies
  • Delivery of business planning, market segmentation, pipeline analysis, coverage optimization, and ongoing performance measurement; packaging of findings into presentation-ready formats for executives
  • Owns the overall acquisition change & enablement plan, ensuring that it meets the needs of the GTM team at the client, the acquired companies, customers and partners.
  • Works with individuals across Corporate Communications, CX, Advocacy, Partner Sales, Tech Alliances and Sales Acceleration (particularly GTM Enablement & Activation) on elements of building and delivering this plan
  • Owns the preparation of the post-close integration plan, including resource/team alignment, working with cross functional owners to implement to ensure successful launch of interim operations for the acquired businesses post-close and through the interim period to drive towards full integration.
  • This plan will also include stakeholder communications, enablement and change management
  • Lead the design and development of the interim period systems, data and processes that support the GTM strategy and execution
  • Drive strategic alignment on a joint operating plan, i.e. translating how the GTM strategy will be implemented.
  • The role will evaluate potential acquisition targets by leading post-term sheet detailed diligence, build quantitative rigor and drive alignment across key Sales & Post-Sales leadership for acquisition deal model sales and post sales projections (top line growth, Bookings, Revenue, Attrition, Margin, Expenses).
