As we build our Community Empowerment Center, we are expanding our reach and looking for a marketing professional who can help more people understand, access, and support our work.UMMA Center is hiring its first Marketing & Content Manager to build and execute our marketing presence across digital and real-world channels. This is a hands-on role focused on content creation, social media strategy, and campaign execution that increases awareness, engagement, and community participation.If anyone ever thought "UMMA is doing incredible work but not enough people know about it this is your role to fix."Key ResponsibilitiesCreate photo, video, written, and graphic content directly from programs and community activityManage and execute a consistent social media content calendarRun campaigns that drive participation, engagement, and donor supportWrite newsletters and supporter communicationsManage paid promotions and track performance metricsUse modern marketing tools and AI workflows to improve efficiencyHelp shape UMMA's brand voice and growth strategyQualificationsBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related fieldExperience in non-profit organizations or community-focused roles is a plus35 years of marketing, content creation, or digital marketing experienceStrong writing and storytelling abilitySocial media fluency across major platformsExperience with Canva, Adobe, and/or similar toolsComfort filming, designing, and publishing content independentlySelf-starter who can build systems and take ownershipInterest in analytics and modern marketing toolsWork Environment & BenefitsHybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 remoteWork inside real programs and community initiativesPaid time off and holidaysMedical and dental coverageCreative ownership and direct collaboration with leadershipOpportunity to build and lead the organization's marketing foundation
