Were seeking a high energy marketer with a few years of professional experience to fill the newly created position of Marketing Manager. In this role, youll lead day-to-day marketing activities during our product launch phase and for the exponential growth period that follows. The ideal candidate has 3 to 5 years of professional marketing experience in construction or building products and an interest in using their talents to save energy and better the environment.

Our team has been hard at work developing foundational resources, strategies, and vendors needed to bring our products to market. Now, we need a high energy marketer to implement these plans. This work includes overall brand representation, website management, social media and communications management, market research, sales support, collateral development, managing vendors, and engaging with customers and partners on strategies, campaigns, and events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Marketing

Manage the launch of the companys first series of products as we enter the market. This work includes transitioning existing foundational resources into best-in-class resources for use by customers, partners, and vendors.

With subcontractor and vendor support, manage the development and maintenance of brand guidelines, graphic design standards, communication templates, and marketing collateral to ensure brand integrity.

Perform market research and share results with team members, customers, and partners on industry trends, promotional events to participate in, and growth opportunities.

Translate technical product and building science information into accessible and compelling digital and print content.

Manage the development of educational and promotional video content and resources.

Track news mentions through Google Alerts and other tools.

Develop and maintain presentations, brochures, technical collateral, and other resources that will be used by co-workers, customers, partners, and vendors.

Build relationships with industry peers and participate in the management of subcontractors and vendors that support our work.

Communications

Drive content creation including writing and editing engaging content for e-newsletters, press releases, blog posts, website content, social media, and other communication channels.

Establish and maintain consistent messaging and brand representation across all platforms.

Maintain a social media and communications calendar that enhances our presence and brand. Partner with co-workers, customers, partners, and vendors to design and produce content.

Engage with social media followers and boost customer content on social media channels.

Monitor social analytics and communications metrics and provide helpful tips to colleagues.

Develop press releases and serve as a point of contact for media inquiries.

Business Development Support

Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of business correspondence including digital and print flyers, brochures, customer forms, and client letters.

Participate in lead tracking and contact management activities with clients and partners within our CRM system.

Coordinate in-person and remote meeting, event, and conference attendance with co-workers, customers, partners, and vendors to promote thought leadership and support product sales.

Communicate important product updates to customers, partners, and vendors.

Perform market research that supports lead generation and business development activities.

Additional Activities

Participate in weekly team meetings to plan schedules and prioritize projects.

Attend local, regional, and national events for client and vendor meetings and for professional development and continuing education purposes.

Support partner companies with strategies and activities on an as needed basis.

EDUCATION

Associate degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.

EXPERIENCE

Required

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional marketing experience including campaign management and collateral development.

High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, and other related software programs.

Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Canva, or similar.

Proficient in administering social media programs including LinkedIn and Hootsuite.

Experience using Google Analytics and Google Ads.

Dependable, self-directed, and able to complete tasks with limited supervision.

Proactive problem solver with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Strong verbal and written communication skills; highly effective interpersonal skills.

Excellent attention to detail, organization, and team collaboration skills.

Preferred But Not Required

Marketing experience in the construction and/or building products industries.

High proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Canva, or similar programs for advanced graphic design creation and editing.

Experience using WordPress for website editing and updates.

LOCATION

This position is based in our main office in Leland, North Carolina near Wilmington.

Minimal local travel by personal or company vehicle is expected.

Some overnight travel to industry meetings and events is expected.

POSITION TYPE

This is a full-time employee position.

Health, retirement, and other benefits available after 90 days.

This position reports to the General Manager.
