Position Overview:

Are you a visionary leader who views data not just as numbers, but as the heartbeat of a growing organization? Balance of Nature is seeking a Marketing Operations Director to bridge the gap between complex data collection and actionable business growth. This position will serve as a strategic partner to our Senior Executives, fostering a high-performance culture where data integrity and team development flourish. You will be responsible for the lifecycle of our customer data—from innovative collection methods to high-level reporting—while mentoring a team to reach their full leadership potential.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Alignment: Partner with Senior Executives to align data collection initiatives with company-wide growth goals.

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage a high-performing data team. Train Section Managers and Team Leads to detect strengths and weaknesses within their squads, ensuring a pipeline for future leadership.

  • Data Governance & Integrity: Oversee the collection and maintenance of the customer database to ensure maximum accuracy and viability.

  • Operational Efficiency: Evaluate existing business systems to find innovative ways to streamline operations and enhance data collection.

  • Reporting & Presentation: Develop sophisticated reports and presentations for the VP and Executive team, providing clear insights into department goals and quotas.


What we’re looking for

  • Education: High school diploma required; advanced degree in data science, business, or related field is a plus

  • Data Visionary: You know how to transform raw data into organizational value. Create and collect data from surveys to help better understand our customers and database

  • Advanced Leadership: A partner to the business who handles high-pressure situations with a calm, rational, and data-driven approach

  • Expert Communicator: Capable of teaching the "value of data" to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Detail-Oriented Architect: Highly organized with an obsession for efficiency and accurate record-keeping

  • Professional Integrity: Trustworthy and reliable

  • Self-Motivated Learner: A commitment to staying current with data laws, governance, and emerging technologies

  • Experience: Proven track record in data management, business intelligence, or CRM leadership

  • Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Google Workspace

  • Preferred Software:

    • Intermediate-level experience with Shopify Analytics

    • Proven experience with Tableau for data visualization

    • Familiarity with Klaviyo for email and SMS marketing

    • Familiarity and experience with tracking data and metrics in Google Analytics.

    • Experience with Recharge for ecommerce subscriptions

  • Key Performance Indicators:

    • Monitor and report on data accuracy rate and duplication rate

    • Monitor and report on customer segmentation

    • Report back on information from surveys collected
