JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Tradesmen Group LLC (TTG) is seeking an experienced superintendent with significant masonry experience including sandstone, limestone, granite, and marble to conduct and manage on-site activities for large-scale building rehabilitation projects in the Washington DC area. The Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring safety on the project, quality work standards, and client satisfaction by meeting or exceeding scheduled delivery along with developing and maintaining an excellent working relationship with clients. Experience in historic restoration is preferred but not required. This is a traveling position, with the opportunity to see beautiful locations across the East Coast and into the South.

Superintendents must demonstrate a tangible commitment to safety and a general risk management mindset. The superintendent will be tasked with achieving company-established benchmarks and upholding the corporate culture and its values. Other requirements of the superintendent position include:

  • Proficiency in understanding the drawings, specs, schedule, scope of work, and budget provided by the Project Manager.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of Masonry experience with 5 years in historic masonry.
  • Professionalism in daily communication with management, crew, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and community partners.
  • Advanced competency with computers including Office 365, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of the universal type and swing stage scaffold systems and experience working on projects in downtown settings.
  • Applicants are required to pass a background check for the Dept. of Homeland Security.
  • Job requires OSHA 30-hour training.
  • Overtime will be offered.
