Job Overview A law firm seeks a Mass Tort Litigation Associate Attorney in Southfield, MI. This role involves handling various litigation responsibilities, including drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and supporting trial preparation. The position offers opportunities for leadership roles in coordinated proceedings. Duties Develop and execute litigation strategy for mass tort matters. Draft, review, and file pleadings and substantive motions. Ensure compliance with case management and scheduling orders. Monitor and implement developments in MDL/coordinated proceedings. Provide direction to paralegals and case managers on litigation tasks. Identify and develop liability and damages proof. Assess and recommend appropriate venue and jurisdiction for filing. Support settlement and resolution efforts. Requirements Strong organizational and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of state and federal civil procedure. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. Professional judgment and discretion. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation technology/tools. JD required. Admission to at least one U.S. state bar required. Experience with complex litigation preferred. Experience mentoring and supervising others preferred. Experience using CM/ECF, PACER, Westlaw, and Litify. Benefits Medical and dental insurance. 401(k) plan.
