Essential Functions of the Role:
- Diagnose and identify mechanical, electrical, and technical issues in vehicles.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance procedures, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex problems effectively.
- Document accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used for each vehicle.
- Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations while working on vehicles.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques through continuous learning.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical education or certification is a plus).
- 5 Years or more of proven experience as an automotive technician.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check, DMV screen, and drug screen
- Must have own hand and power tool sets
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds
- Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicles needed repair
- Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools
- Walk/stand for the majority of their workday
- Drive manual transmissions vehicles
- Efficiently navigate a computer
