With operations spanning the globe—from the U.S. and Mexico to Spain, India, and China—we’re making waves in renewable energy markets. Thanks to the groundbreaking Inflation Reduction Act, we’re poised for unparalleled growth in the solar industry. And guess what? Our parent company is backed by some of the most esteemed venture capital firms that have invested in globally recognized, VC-backed companies. It’s an electrifying time to join us.

Join the Unimacts team as a Master Planner at our vibrant hub in Conroe, TX. Step into a role where “industrial business athletes” thrive, showing versatility and proactive involvement in shaping the development of our US plant strategy and fortifying local supply chain capabilities. Be ready to both lead and immerse hands-on where needed, ensuring we meet all company and customer requisites.

Position Overview:
As the Master Planner, you will be a pivotal player in driving the success of Unimacts’ production scheduling for roll form, swage and drill lines. Your role will focus on developing and managing the production schedules, supply chain processes, and capacity planning for our Houston-based operations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure seamless coordination of materials, resources, and schedules to meet production goals and customer commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive master schedules/production plans to align production with customer demand, capacity, and inventory targets.

Capacity Management: Evaluate and optimize manufacturing capacity, identifying constraints and implementing solutions to maximize efficiency.

Inventory Oversight: Ensure inventory levels meet production requirements while minimizing excess and obsolescence.

Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with sales and operations teams to translate forecasts into actionable production plans.

Process Improvement: Analyze current planning and scheduling processes, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with procurement, engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure alignment across all supply chain activities.

Metrics and Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, schedule attainment, backlog hours/backlog work orders, production efficiency, and inventory accuracy, providing regular updates to leadership.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and production process, proactively developing contingency plans.

Compliance and Standards: Ensure all planning activities adhere to company policies, customer requirements, and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, master scheduling, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in production planning software (e.g., MD365, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel or Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven track record of working cross-functionally.
  • Experience in renewable energy or heavy manufacturing sectors is a plus.
  • APICS certification (e.g., CPIM or CSCP) is preferred.
