Position Summary

Responsible for scheduling manufacturing orders to satisfy the needs of 3rd-party commercial and Teleflex intercompany customers, as well as for evaluating raw material inventory needs driven by finished product schedules and procurement of those materials.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate and achieveable production schedules for the assigned area(s), consistent with available capacity and in support of on-time delivery of customer orders
  • Provide current leadtime estimates for use by Customer Service and by Sales for quotation purposes.
  • Monitor accuracy of bills of materials and process routings and initiate changes as appropriate.
  • Maintain prudent raw material inventory in support of the assigned area(s) with consideration for supply risk, obsolescence, shelf life, and material leadtimes.
  • Regular assessment of available equipment capacity and labor, in support of accurate scheduling and delivery commitments.
  • This role is an essential part of a specific Value Stream Team that includes key decision makers across Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering functions.

Education / Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalency required
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in production planning and purchasing preferred
  • Certification from ASCM, ISM, or other relevant Supply Chain professional organization is a plus.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

  • SAP ERP system experience and expertise required
  • Experience with IQS and Salesforce desired.
  • Experience with and expertise PC applications including Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word required.
  • An ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • An ability to think clearly, takes initiative, and work independently.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent organizing skill.
