Material Coordinator The Material Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular inventory counts, and ensuring that all inventory processes and procedures are followed. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties and Responsibilities Conduct regular and accurate physical inventory counts (daily cycle counts). Reconcile inventory discrepancies and report findings to management. Update inventory records in the system accurately and promptly. Monitor and report inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels. Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and adjustments. Generate and distribute inventory reports as required. Inspect incoming and outgoing inventory for accuracy and quality. Ensure proper labeling and storage of inventory items. Identify and report any damaged or expired inventory. Follow all company policies and procedures related to inventory control. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation and support. Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory status and issues. Utilize a forklift to move product to and from locations. Transfer finished product to designated location in facility/warehouse. Flexibility to work overtime and non-standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Perform all other duties as assigned. Minimum Job Requirements Education/Certifications and Experience: High school diploma or GED. One year of related experience preferred. Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a similar role, preferred. Familiarity with inventory management software and systems. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong organizational and time management skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Working Conditions and Physical Effort Work involves daily and frequent exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, odors, darkness and/or poor lighting, noise, and vibration. Seasonal exposure to weather elements to include, but not limited to, extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity. Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks and hazards, such as working around mechanical equipment, mechanical hazards, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, fire and explosives hazards, communicable diseases. Position requires the ability to stand; walking around office, warehouse, and plant; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting on a daily basis.
