Duration: 3 Months

Work schedule: Night shift, 7 pm, - 7 am every two days (so 2 on, 2 off). This will include weekends and some holidays, depending how the two days on fall on the calendar # of hours/week: 36 one week and 48 the other week

Pay Rate: $25.57/Hourly

Position Summary:

SITUATION IN ORGANIZATION

Reports directly to the Production Manager, indirectly to the Shift Lead.

JOB DIMENSIONS

Perform specific field duties and assist operations in the Monomer and Oligomer Plants.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Properly label containers, then package finished monomer and oligomer product in either drums or totes.
  • Charge raw materials to reactions for monomer and/or oligomer as directed by Shift Lead.
  • Assist in other operations in the plant as directed.
  • In the event of a plant emergency, participate in the emergency response as directed, and be a member of the ERT.
  • When necessary, assist with training of new drummers.
  • Take samples as directed by board operator for testing.
  • Perform minor maintenance on equipment as required.
  • Actively participate in plant CARE program
  • Report any HES incidents and, as appropriate, participate in incident investigations.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

  • Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements
  • Participates in HES activities provided by site management. (e.g., CARE, SWAT, etc)
  • Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents
  • Manufacturing environment with chemical, physical, ergonomic and electrical hazards. Work includes a variety of physical and biological conditions including, but not limited to, proximity to moving mechanical parts and powered industrial trucks, exposure to hot work or steam, working at heights, working with sharp tools and exposure to slip hazards and wet areas.
  • Work is primarily performed in the manufacturing complex; however, worker is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
  • Worker is subject to atmospheric conditions, including, but not limited to, exposure to dust, chemicals, and odors.
  • Works with or around hazardous substances.
  • Work requires use of protective clothing and equipment.
  • Scheduled hours may vary in shifts and length.
  • Noise level in the work environment is below the OSHA permissible exposure limits.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum high school graduate or General Equivalency Diploma
  • 1-2 years manufacturing experience preferred

  • Teamwork and cooperation: readily share information and knowledge. Seek to understand and build on differing perspectives of others to enhance team efficiency and quality outcomes
