Experience in shipping, stockroom, or packing operations

Overview:
We are seeking a dependable Material Handler I (Shipping) to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on warehouse experience and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This contractor role runs through the end of the year, with potential for extension based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Label, pack, and load items for shipment according to specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Process outbound orders and inbound receipts accurately.
• Unload delivery vehicles and move materials to designated areas.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documents in compliance with internal procedures.
• Keep accurate records of all shipped and received items.
• Calculate surface, volume, weight, and dimensions of packages or components as needed.
• Report customer feedback and trends of dissatisfaction to management promptly.
• Answer calls, operate office machines and computers as required for documentation.
• Generate accurate and timely reports as requested by management or customers.
• Support various tasks in shipping and receiving as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of shipping or warehouse experience.
• Computer literate and comfortable with basic software tools.
• Intermediate math skills for measurement and calculation.
