Material Handler Supports Operations by moving materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility with a variety of powered industrial equipment. Essential Job Functions * Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment Loads and unloads trucks Ability to use a hand scanner Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations Transfers finished products to designated areas Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manager This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Education & Experience High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience Competencies Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Material handling experience is strongly preferred. Forklift Certification required. Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus. Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel. Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions. Operational Equipment Hand-held RF Scanner, manual/motorized pallet jack, Powered Industrial Equipment Work Environment and Physical Demands Work Environment Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required. Physical Demands Material Handler: Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
