Summary
The position is responsible for providing shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment services for finished goods, inventory, materials, supplies, parts, and equipment at the assigned facility. The role involves handling materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring products are processed and shipped in accordance with customer and quality standards within controlled temperature environments.
Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and process items for storage and/or shipment per established procedures and customer requirements.
- Receive materials and/or finished goods daily; verify quantity, quality, and documentation (e.g., packing list).
- Safely operate distribution equipment as required.
- Maintain high accuracy in all warehouse processes to avoid shipment errors or delays.
- Complete required client training and comply with all ISO standards and company quality policies.
- Work in environments of varying temperatures room temperature, cold-room, and freezer-room.
- Communicate effectively with internal personnel and demonstrate strong customer service orientation.
- Maintain punctuality, attendance, and adherence to operational schedules.
- Participate in on-the-job training (OJT) and follow Standard Training Protocols (STP).
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in logistics or warehouse operations within a life sciences company.
- Familiarity with inventory control, shipping, and receiving procedures.
- Understanding of ISO quality standards and hazardous material handling.
- Ability to consistently follow policies, procedures, and schedules with minimal supervision.
- Capability to operate powered industrial trucks and other distribution equipment safely.
- Basic computer literacy, ability to use ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, walk or stand for extended periods, and work under moderate to high noise levels.
- Flexibility to work shifts, overtime, and varying schedules as needed.
- Ability to interpret and track team metrics and identify deviations from standard processes.
- Proven ability to work effectively in temperature-controlled environments (cold/freezer rooms).
- Demonstrated reliability in attendance and performance consistency.
